32 front PTT10 & 24 rear PTT10’s - Ultimate Trinnov Waveforming TM Wallscreen setup!

The PTT10.0X04-NAB-01 is a 10-inch extended woofer from Purifi Audio. It has the following specifications:

  • Nominal impedance: 4Ω

  • Cone material: Black anodized aluminum

  • Linear excursion, Xlin: ±14.75mm

  • Maximum mechanical excursion, Xmax: ±25.0mm

  • Motor efficiency factor, Beta: 40.7 (N/A)^2/Ω

  • Efficiency Bandwidth Product, EBP: 66.7Hz

NO CHUFFING OR COMPRESSION THROUGH 1’SQ APERTURE

Under the assumption of linear excursion (Xlin), where the woofers operate within ±14.75mm, the air displacement in the sealed enclosures would be moderate, and the airspeed through the 1 square foot aperture should not reach levels that would cause compression or "chuffing" (port noise). This is due to the following reasons:

1. **Adequate Aperture Size**: A 1 square foot aperture is a large area for the air to move in and out, which should minimize the air velocity, reducing the potential for noise generated by high-speed air turbulence.

2. **Enclosure Design**: The sealed design of the individual enclosures means that the woofer's back wave is contained, which typically results in less air movement compared to ported designs, where the back wave is used to reinforce the front wave through the port.

3. **Linear Operation**: Within the linear range of the woofer's excursion, the air movement is smooth and controlled, reducing the risk of creating non-linear effects such as port noise or compression.

The summarized analysis suggests that under normal operating conditions, where the woofers remain within their linear excursion limits, the common 1 square foot aperture should not cause compression or chuffing effects.

OM-20

Discover the mystical journey with the "OM" subwoofer, a marvel in audio engineering delivering an incredible 135 decibels at the enigmatic frequency of 7 Hz. This transcends mere sound, echoing the profound experiences of mystics who have encountered the divine in their quests. It harmonizes with the alpha brainwave range of 3-8 Hz, associated with heightened relaxation and creativity, and aligns with the Earth's Schumann resonance at approximately 7.83 Hz, connecting you to the planet's natural rhythm. Experience the union of spirituality, science, and unparalleled sound quality with the "OM" subwoofer.

THE CALCULATION

If the goal still is to get 125dB at 7Hz, then going up to the 10in will help since it has higher excursion and bigger cone area.

Similar calculations as above:

1 x PTT10.0X04-NAB-02 in 35L with DSP corrected so that 7Hz is 10dB down gives a SPL aorund 91dB @ 7Hz within the drivers macimum excusion.

With 7dB room gain we come up to 98dB. Meaning we need 27dB more, 4.5 times more woofers = 23 woofers, so probably move it up to 32 woofers to get 8 x 4.

So my best guess is that it should be doable with the 10in.

Then with the DSP, we make a Linkwitz Transform to give it more boost in the bass. Here I have boosted it down to 12Hz Q0.71 and shown the results with 2V peak on the speaker

ELIPSON A2700 THE OPTIMAL OM-20” SUBWOOFER AMPS - 2 CHANNEL (2HZ-60KHZ)

The most impressive thing about the Elipson A2700, however, is the dynamics in the bass range. The amplifier manages to kick life into the speakers in a completely different way than the NAD C 298 ( From Purifi), which with its 2 x 340 watts into 4 ohms is by no means weak.

The drumbeats in Sorten Muld’s “Balladen om Iver og Bushke” hit with a physical power that I didn’t think was possible from a 6.5-inch bass/midrange unit in a compact cabinet. And it’s not just about power, but about control. And whether the amplifier can deliver five or ten times more, respectively, than the speaker can handle should in principle be irrelevant. But it has power – and that makes a difference.
